Earlier today, we went to Sundress Fest 2018 at the Wonderland Ballroom (1101 Kenyon St NW). The cover was $5 and proceeds went to support DC Central Kitchen.
DC Central Kitchen’s mission is to use food as a tool to strengthen bodies, empower minds, and build communities. They provide over 3 million meals to homeless shelters, schools, and nonprofits each year
The event starts at 10am and goes all the way until 2am.We are warning you for next year: SUNDRESS FESTIVAL IS INSANE! Sure, a sundress is something that you can wear to church, but Sundress Fest is anything but. We stayed too long, drank too much, danced too hard, and our entire body hurts.
“But I’m drinking for a good cause!”
Yeah, what we told ourselves too. Outside, beers were available for $7 each with the purchase of tokens. You could still go into Wonderland Ballroom for their entire drinks menu. Food trucks were available and lined up closer to 14th & Kenyon. Roaming Rooster was there to serve fried chicken and Captain Cookie had the usual milk and cookies.
