The weather has been a bit wonky in DC this year.
What does this mean for the 2018 National Cherry Blossom Festival? In 2017, the snow storm froze all the cherry blossoms on the branch. Last year, we trekked all the way down to the Tidal Basin only to be met with bare branches. How sad!
Save yourself from a disappointing Hanami (花見, “flower viewing”) by checking the DC Cherry Blossom Tree map below, provided by Casey Trees, which shows the location of cherry blossoms all over the District. This way, you can walk a few blocks within your neighborhood and to check how the blossoms are faring. Happy Hanami!
