HopFest 2018, 1-5pm at DC Brau Brewing Company (3178 Bladensburg Rd). Ticket includes a complimentary DC Brewers’ Guild tasting glass with unlimited pours of more than two dozen hop-forward craft brews. $35

Cocktail Queen Competition – 4th Annual, 8pm-1:30am at Bourbon Adams Morgan (2321 18th St NW). We will be having a fantastically fun and fabulous ladies only competition (4 years running) on Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Bourbon – Adams Morgan, DC (upstairs). This is an evening event – begins at 8pm – so, hopefully, we will have a stellar turn out of competitors and attendees alike. It is going to be bigger and better than last year!!! Plus, We will be projecting the competition action on the big screen for all to see!! $20

The Dew Drop Inn’s Wrestlemania Crawfish-A-Palooza, 12pm-12am at Dew Drop Inn (2801 8th St NE). We’ve got the giant pot, jet engine burner and the mediocre cooking knowledge to bring you a delicious traditional Crawfish Boil that will be served around 4ish on the patio. There will plenty of drink specials and some pretty sweet raffle prizes as well.

Crawfish for Cancer’s 6th Annual DC Boil, 2-7pm at Pinstripes (1064 Wisconsin Ave NW). 5-hours of unlimited crawfish and fixins, open bar with beer, wine, and spirits including our famous and infamous sweet tea vodka cocktails, and live music throughout the day. Plus we’ve been known to play a few games at our awesome host Pinstripe’s fine establishment and we’ve also been known to throw down on the dance floor so come prepared to have some fun. $50

2018 Sakura Matsuri & Japanese Street Festival, 10:30am-6pm at Newseum (555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW). We are the largest one-day celebration of Japanese culture in the US. We have 4 stages of performances and demonstrations, cultural exhibitors, food vendors, cooking demonstrations, a Childrens’ Corner – and more! Children 12 and under are always free!$10

DC Wine Fest: Spring Edition, 12-10pm at Longview Gallery (1234 9th St NW). You’ll have the chance to sample premium wine to your heart’s content while live entertainment keep the party lively during this one of a kind experience. $35-60

2nd Annual Gin Festival, 6:30-10pm at One Eight Distilling (1135 Okie St NE). Tastings of over 100 gins + live music. $63

ALL empanadas for just $1 (!!!) from 4 to 7 p.m. at the bar during the restaurant’s annual Dollar Empanada Happy Hour! Whisky Brothers: Understanding Japanese Whisky, 7-9pm at Petworth Citizen & Reading Room (829 Upshur St NW). Our friends the Whisky Brothers (Dan Searing and Kelly Young) are back to walk us through the intricacies of a spirit originally modeled after Scotch whisky, but which has since taken on a profile (and legend) all its own. 2018 Taste of Shaw, 7-9:30pm at the Howard Theatre (620 T St NW). The Shaw neighborhood’s annual celebration of the best food and drink its restaurants and bars have to offer is back! Join us for a night of stellar cuisine, cocktails, and beers from this year’s Host Committee of chefs, restaurateurs, mixologists, and brewers. Enjoy unlimited sips and noshes throughout the evening plus live music and dancing. Doors open at 7pm. $80

2018 DC Beer Fest, 12-9pm at Nationals Park (1500 South Capitol St SE). Taking place throughout the stadium’s concourse including Centerfield Plaza, Budweiser Brew House, Bud Light Loft and Budweiser Terrace, the DC Beer Fest will have over a dozen food trucks throughout as well as lawn games, DJs, and more! Admissions includes unlimited tastings, with food sold separately. $48.48 

The More The Merrior: An Oyster Shuck, 3-10pm at Big Bear Cafe (1700 1st St NW). A ticket gets you a wristband. And with that wristband, you can eat to your heart’s content. Grilled, raw and fried Chesapeake oysters, oyster stew, Meats and Foods sausage and homemade kraut, grilled local veggies, catfish dip, Korean BBQ, banchan and more. Kids get in free before 4pm. $50
